Feed (Newsflesh Trilogy book 1) by Mira Grant

It’s 2040. Cancer and the common cold have been cured. Sounds great, until you throw in the zombies..

Feed is the first book in the Newsflesh Trilogy. I wanted to read this book for soooo long. I actually began reading it last year and stopped on chapter 5. There was no way I could finish without having the rest of the series waiting for me. I finally got my hands on them, finished Feed in a little under three days and I’m currently about 3\4 finished with the second book in the series.
I FREAKING LOVED IT!
Feed is unlike any other “zombie” novel I’ve ever read. It takes place 26 years after the rising. The world has learned to live with the zombies, but the fear is always there.
In this new world people rely more on bloggers for their news than in any other form. Bloggers were the first people sharing info on the outbreak and how to prepare.
The novel follows Georgia and Shaun, who were orphaned in the rising and later adopted. They are bloggers and do whatever it takes to get the story. They get chosen to follow and report on a presidential campaign. Everything thay can go wrong, does. And then some. Georgia and Shaun stop at nothing to get their story. From zombie attacks to sabotage, they’re in the thick of it all.
I was so shocked at the ending. Never saw it coming. Doesn’t that make you want to read it? The characters are all believable and well developed. There are a few plot twists and “feels” moments to keep you going. Seriously, this is one of those books you won’t be able to put down!
